21 December 2005

Luanda, Angola, 21 Dec – The introduction of better crop storage facilities and improved wholesale and retail supply of farming produce are vital for Angola’s future economic development, Luanda’s agriculture minister has said.

Gilberto Buta Lutucuta told agriculture sector representatives Tuesday that the Luanda government plans to introduce lines of credit to promote better conditions in the sector.

He added that one of his key objectives is to raise the contribution by Angola’s agriculture sector to national GDP to up to 20 percent, a goal close to fulfilment. (macauhub)
