Brazil’s CCR road company boosts stake in Parana state operator

Lisbon, Portugal, 5 Jan – Brazilian toll road operator CCR, in which Portugal’s Brisa has a 17.9 percent stake, has announced it is raising its shareholding in the Rodonorte highways concessionaire in the Brazilian state of Parana.

CCR (Companhia de Concessoes Rodoviarias) will pay 14.3 million euros for 11.68 percent of Rodonorte stock currently held by BG Par, Construtora Castilho and Monte Berico Participacoes.

Formed in CCR by a number of Brazil’s largest construction firms, CCR’s main shareholders are Andrade Gutierrez (17.42 percent) and Camargo Correa, Brisa and Serveng-Civilsan with 17.9 percent each.

CCR operates about 1,450 kilometers of roads and motorways and earns 41.85 percent of private road toll revenues in Brazil. (macauhub)
