Hong Kong, China, 02 March – Huawei Technologies, China’s largest manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, contracted sales of US$8.25 billion in 2005 and this year plans to increase that figure by 30 percent, especially in foreignmarkets, the company’s vice-president said Tuesday.
Of sales made last years, US$4.76 billion were in foreign markets, vice-president Hu Yong said.
In the first six months of 2006, sales were estimated to reach US$7.5 billion, with US$4 million accounted for by foreign markets, Hu said.
“For this year we expect a 30 percent increase in overall sales,” Hu said, adding that real sales area are around 70 percent of contracted sales. (macauhub)
