Luanda, Angola, 27 March – The first Angolan International Mining Fair will take place from April 27 to 30 in Luanda, At the FILDA complex, officials said Friday in the Angolan capital.
Edgar de Carvalho, director of the department for Planning and Statistics of the Ministry of Geology and Mines, said that negotiations were underway for national and international companies to be present, as well as 20 companies that had already confirmed they would be present.
Of the foreign participants, the Italian embassy has already registered to take part in the fair with a number of Italian companies.
The fair is being organized by the Ministry of Geology and Mining, Angolan state diamond company (Endiama) and Expo-Angola with the aim of promoting the country’s mining potential.
In its national pavilion, Angola will exhibit diamonds, ornamental rocks, marble, granite and other minerals. (macauhub)
