Luanda, Angola, 28 March – The Luanda power distribution company (EDEL) has been granted a loan by China to the value of US$44 million to build a sub-station and 127 transformer posts in areas of Luanda province, officials have said.

Paxe said that, by setting up the transformer posts, EDEL would be able to supply electricity to 26,468 new customers in Luanda.
