Brasilia, Brazil, 12 April – The production capacity of Brazilian oil company Petrobras in 2010 will exceed its refinery capacity, the company’s president José Gabrielli said Tuesday in Brasilia.
Speaking at the joint hearing of the Infrastructure and Education committees of the Brazilian senate, Gabrielli said that in 2010 the company’s production would reach 2.3 million barrels per day while its refinery capacity would be 1.869 million barrels per day.
“That will give us a substantial export capacity,” Gabrielli said.
Gabrielli added that Petrobras this year would achieve self-sufficiency, with refinery and production both at 1.9 million barrels per day. (macauhub)
