First International Convention Center launched in Luanda

Luanda, Angola, 24 April – Angola’s first International Convention Center, owned by Angolan state oil company Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis (SONANGOL), was inaugurated Friday on the outskirts of the capital, Luanda, after an investment of US$59 million.

The Convention Center, set up in a 100 hectare plot in the Talatona area, to the south of Luanda, includes a conference room for up to 750 people, which can also be used for official banquets for up to 400 guests.

The complex also includes nine meeting rooms, several offices, a restaurant, press center, first aid room and parking lot, as well as 20 luxury residences for Sonangol’s guests.

The new Convention Center is due to host Monday VII Forum of African Oil Companies, which will be followed by the XXIII Ministerial Meeting of the African Petroleum Producers Association (APPA). (macauhub)
