Maputo, Mozambique, 16 Aug – Mozambican public transport company TPM is going to run the route that links Maputo and Marracuene from October, when it plans to receive seven buses, as part of plans announced by the government to strengthen its fleet.
“At the moment we are ready to open the Maputo/Marracuene route, which could happen in October, when the seven new buses that we are supposed to receive this year arrive”, company spokesperson Boaventura Lipanga told Mozambican newspaper Notícias
With the new buses, TPM plans to restructure its operations, adapting them to customers’ needs, without affecting the profitability of its business, said the spokesperson.
This is why the company inaugurated the Maputo/Boane route at the start of the month when it received 13 new buses.
This new route not only allows TPM to increase operations in terms of linking various neighbourhoods of the capital city to nearby villages, but it also creates new opportunities for revenue growth, the spokesperson said.(macahub)
