Maputo International Fair has 13 international participants confirmed

Maputo, Mozambique, 21 Aug – The Maputo International fair (Facim), due to take place between August 28 and September 3, already has at least 13 international participants confirmed to attend, Mozambican daily newspaper Notícias reported.

The European countries represented at Facim 2006 will be Portugal, Spain, Norway, Finland and Germany the paper said, adding that confirmation had also been given from Macau, Brazil and Canada.

Amongst the African delegations are South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Kenya.

Eight companies are also expected from Tanzania and Bangladesh at the 2006 fair, which will be entitled, “FACIM – Meeting Point for Businessmen” and will be launched by the Mozambican president, Armando Guebuza.

Most of the around 120 Mozambican companies that will take part in Facim 2006 will be part of the “Made in Mozambique” project promoted by the Mozambican government and which aims to encourage production, consumption and export of the country’s products. (macauhub)
