Luanda, Angola, 30 Aug – Angolan mobile phone company Unitel and Swedish manufacturer Ericsson signed a contract to supply and install equipment and services worth US$ 150 million, reported Angolan news agency Angop.
This amount is part of Unitel’s investment plan for this year, which is expected to reach US$ 250 million.
According to a Unitel statement, the contract with Ericsson was signed as part of a strategy outlined by the company to improve service levels.
Specifically, Unitel plans to upgrade its infrastructures and systems and expand its coverage area this year to a total of 52 municipal regions, the operator said. (macauhub)
