China’s Guangdong province is China’s largest car exporter

Guangzhou, China, 08 Sept – China’s Guangdong province has become the largest car exporter in China as it moved from fourth to first place in just a year, the New Express newspaper reported.

In the first seven months of the year Guangdong exported 15,739 cars worth US$170 million , 8.9 times more than in the previous year and far ahead of the second placed province, Anhui, which in the same period sold US$60 million’s worth of cars.

The European Union was Guangdong’s main market as in the period it acquired 15,050 cars totaling US$164 million.

The unit price of cars fell 25 percent on average to US$10,836 in the period. (macauhub)
