China’s deputy education minister visits Portugal to find technological partnerships

Guimarães, Portugal, 13 Sept – China’s deputy education minister, Wu Qidi, visited Portugal Wednesday in order to prepare technological partnerships with Portuguese universities.

Wu will spend most of her visit at Minho University, in the northeast of the country, where since July the Portuguese Confucius Institute has been set up.

According to Minho university, the visit by the Chinese official delegation has the aim of “exploring possible partnerships, with particular interest in the area of technology.”

After being officially received at the university on Tuesday evening, Wu has meetings scheduled Wednesday with the heads of the several of the university’s research centers.

Along with the deputy education minister, the delegation includes staff from the Chinese embassy in Lisbon and people responsible for the Education and Finance sectors. (macauhub)
