Luanda, Angola, 28 Sept – Angolan airline TAAG has boosted its links to US air manufacturer Boeing by joining its equipment management program, which will allow the company to reduce its annual maintenance costs by 30 percent, Boeing said Wednesday.

TAAG joined the Component Services Program (CSP) for the 777 and 737 aircraft for a ten-year period , thus becoming the third airline to join for both aircraft, the US company said.

The new aircraft TAAG is due to receive from Boeing in November – three 737s and two 777s, have already been included in the equipment management programs.

Jesus Martins, chairman of TAAG, said that joining the program would make it possible for his company to “offer passengers a guaranteed level of service, with the creation of a parts management program that will contribute to aircraft fulfilling schedules.” (macauhub)
