Luanda, Angola, 05 Oct – The executive director of the USA-Angola Chamber of Commerce, Paul Hare, said Wednesday in Luanda that there was growing interest in investing in Angola from the US business community, particularly in sectors not related to oil.
Hare made the statement on leaving an audience with Angola’s prime minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, saying the meeting had focused not only on this issue but also on the efforts currently underway to rebuild and develop Angola.
He said he had informed the prime minister of interest on the part of US businesspeople in being part of the reconstruction efforts and their desire to set up partnerships with Angolan business owners, particularly in the aeronautical, communication technology and infrastructure sectors.
At the audience Hare was accompanied by the executive director of Boeing, Rudolph Low and deputy chairman of IPX, Derek Campbell, amongst others. (macauhub)
