Orlando, USA, 18 Oct – Wynn Resorts (Macau) has bought two helicopters from US company Sikorsky Aircraft to transport its most important customers between Macau and Hong Kong, Sikorsky said Tuesday in Orlando, Florida.
The announcement was made during the National Business Aviation Association convention, with the US company adding that the S-76C++ helicopters would be delivered in 2007, and that this would be the first time aircraft of this type operated in Hong Kong and Macau.
The S-76 helicopter has two propellers and is used for many purposes including transporting important customers or executives. Sikorsky has sold over 600 units to date.
Wynn Resorts Ltd, which is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, opened a hotel/casino in Macau on September 6, with 600 rooms and suites, 220 gaming tables and 380 slot machines.
There are currently scheduled helicopter flights between Macau and Hong Kong, laid on by Chinese gaming magnate, Stanley Ho who owns most of Macau’s casinos. (macauhub)
