Praia, Cape Verde, 18 Oct – Over 160 national and international companies have signed up to take part in the 2006 edition of the Cape Verde International Fair, to be held between November 15 and 19 in facilities of the former Francisco Mendes Aerodrome in Praia, officials said.
Amongst the participants there will be 65 companies from Portugal, which will have the greatest international presence, followed by Brazil with 30 companies from the states of Ceará and Pernambuco.
Twenty companies from Spain’s Canary islands have also signed up and six companies from Italy will attend the fair.
Cape Verde has 45 companies signed up.
Te total number of companies signed up is higher than the number of available stands (149), but some of the companies will only be present at the fair to take part in contact meetings organized by the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services and other complementary activities, namely the IV Public/Private Forum to be held on November 16 in the city of Assomada.
