Fourth edition of Constrói Angola ends with turnover of around US$120 million in business deals

Luanda, Angola, 23 Oct – The 4th edition of Constrói Angola – Construction, Public Works and Safety Fair held between October 18 and 22 in Luanda, generated an estimated turnover of US$120 million, exceeding last year’s fair by US$20 million, officials said.

Throughout the five days of the fair, the 239 exhibitors from Angola, Portugal, Spain, China and Brazil, presented products related to the construction and industrial safety sectors and analyzed business opportunities. An official cooperation agreement was also signed between two companies (Tilca and H3P).

Amongst the companies, Brazil’s Odebrecht was awarded the prize for best stand and best participant, the Portuguese export promotion agency ICEP was considered the best institutional participant, Cimaco was the best construction company, Fermat the best products exhibited, AP Service the best safety company, Sonangol for the services area and Tandek for innovation and technology.

The companies also made use of the event to present their products and announce new projects. Sonangol Distribuidora held a seminar, in which it explained the advantages of using piped gas in homes and buildings, a service that exists in the provinces of Luanda and Cabinda.

Odebrecht presented its project for construction of a shopping center in the South of Luanda, with 400 stores, restaurants, cinemas, banks and travel agencies, car park and entertainment areas. (macauhub)
