Macau to host Asian real estate fair

Macau, China, 14 Nov – Macau is to host an Asian real estate exhibition on December 5 and 6, which will bring together sector and banking specialists to discuss the development of the market in the region, officials said.

The exhibition, which is being organized by Messe Munchen, will be attended by investors, bankers, construction companies, consultants, property managers, business owners and representatives of the cities and regions of Asia.

During the two-day event, which will take place in the Macau Tower, the specialists will analyze the current state of the market in the Asian region and financing models and current projects will be presented.

At the specialized meetings the development and opportunities being created in the Pearl River Delta and strategies for Singapore, India and China will be discussed.

The Macau real estate market, which has seen strong growth over the last few years, has seen demand drop off in the last few months.

Between January and September, 9,892 real estate sales contracts were signed for a total of 8.52 billion patacas, falls of 40.5 percent and 38 percent, respectively against the year-ago period. (macauhub)
