Guangzhou, China, 21 Nov – The foreign trade of the Chinese province of Guangzhou totaled US$423.5 billion between January and October, or 30 percent of the national total, Chinese newspaper Shenzhen Economic Daily reported Monday.
According to the paper, the province posted a trade surplus in the period of US$58.5 billion.
Within Guangdong province the areas of Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan and Zhongshan led exports.
Exports totaled US$241 billion, a 28 percent rise, while imports totaled US$182.5 billion, or 19.8 percent more, the paper reported.
Machinery and electronic products accounted for 67.6 percent of exports while textiles and clothing totaled US$27.9 billion. (macauhub)
