Portuguese exports to Macau rise 29.2 percent between January and October

Macau, China, 12 Dec – The value of Portuguese exports to Macau increased 29.2 percent between January and October of this year with electrical materials dominating sales to the Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China, official figures showed.

Statistical figures showed that between January and October, Portugal sold products to the value of around 11.63 million euros, or 29.2 percent more than in the same year-ago period.

Electrical materials such as cables and fuse boxes, and wine, accounted for 3.12 million euros and 2.3 million euros, respectively and were the main products exported to Macau.

In mineral water alone, Portugal sold 500,000 euros to Macau.

In terms of Macau’s exports to Portugal, there was a drop of 51.5 percent in sales to 640,000 euros with clothing accounting for 160,000 euros of the total, Making it the biggest category of exports to Portugal from Macau. (macauhub)
