Road in Angola’s Huila province to be rebuilt by Brazilian companies

Luanda, Angola, 15 Dec – A road in the Matala district of the Angolan province of Huila will be ready by the end of this year, said the director fop the project, Marilo Menicucci, to Angolan news agency Angpop.

The 132 kilometer road, which is six meters wide, is already covered in asphalt over more than 60 kilometers, the director said.

the project, which is being carried out by a consortium made up of Brazilian companies Planasul and Andrade Gutierrez, began in December last year and also includes the construction of drainage channels and placing of road signs.

This project is part of the Program for Reconstruction of Road Infrastructure, approved in 2005 by the Angolan Council of Ministers. (macauhub)
