Mozambican government approves 144 investment projects between January and October

Maputo, Mozambique, 18 Dec – The Mozambican government approved 144 investment projects between January and October 2006, totaling US$810 million, Mozambican daily newspaper, Notícias reported Saturday.

Figures published for the debate on the 2007 State Budget showed that the investments approved could imply the creation of at least 17,000 jobs.

The provinces of Maputo, Niassa, Inhambane, Sofala and Cabo Delgado and the city of Maputo were those that attracted the largest investments, with particular emphasis on the tourism, hotel, transport and communications and mining sectors. (macauhub)
