Angola’s Mundial Seguros plans to expand into other African countries

Luanda, Angola, 03 Jan – Angolan insurance company, Mundial Seguros is due to open representative offices in Sao Tome and Principe, Cape Verde and Guinea Bissau as of March, the chairman of the company, Ricardo Sambimbi said last week in Luanda.

Speaking to Angolan news agency Angpop, Sambimbi said that the decision marked the beginning of the internationalization of the business and added that a fourth office would be opened in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as the country’s political situation was now stable.

The company, which began operating on October 17, 2006, offering car and working accidents insurance and plans to be the leading insurer for the country’s agricultural production.

The company also plans to open sales offices in the Angolan provinces of Cabinda Huila and Benguela.

The Angolan insurance market currently has five companies, Empresa Nacional de Seguros (ENSA), Angola Agora e Amanha (AAA), Global Seguros Angola (GA, Mundial Seguros and Nossa Seguros. (macauhub)
