China and Brazil sign agreement on geographical surveying

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 10 Jan – The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and China’s State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping Tuesday in Sao Paulo signed a technical and scientific cooperation agreement.

The agree aims to improve cartography and Geographic Information Systems in both countries as well as monitoring and research techniques.

After a visit to the IBGE facilities, the Chinese delegation travelled to Brasilia where it is meeting with the Brazilian Environment Minister, Marina Silva. (macauhub)
