Guangzhou, China, 10 Jan – The Chinese province of Guangdong plans to invest 38.5 billion yuan in infrastructures this year – 33 billion in roads and 14.7 billion in ports and navigation channels, according to Chinese news agency Xinhua.
This year the provincial government will focus its attention on construction and improving several highways, including the Guangzhou-Shenzhen, Guangzhou- Western Zhuhai and Shaoguan-Ganzhou roads.
Tong Xing, the deputy governor of the province was cited by the Southern Metropolis Daily as saying that the province invested 46.2 billion yuan in 2006. (macauhub)
