Macau posts inflation of 5.15 percent in 2006

Macau, China, 22 Jan – The inflation rate in Macau in 2006 totaled 5.15 percent, the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau said Monday.

In 2005 inflation in Macau was 4.4 percent.

According to the Statistics and Census Bureau, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December last year rose by 4.59 percent year on year and 0.61 percent against November.

In December there were more significant increases in the classes of Housing and Fuel, Food and non-alcoholic drinks, Clothing and Footwear and Recreation and Culture. (macauhub)
