Luanda, Angola, 24 Jan – Tax revenues in Angola are this year expected to total US$20.229 billion against US$14.55 billion this year, according to projections form the Research Center of the Angolan Catholic University.
The figures, cited by Angolan news agency Angop showed that at the end of 2008, tax revenues would reach US$21.53 billion, thus confirming the growth trend set since 2004.
In a breakdown by sector, the survey showed that revenues from oil and diamonds this year would total US$17.226 billion and US$199.5 million, respectively.
Taxes collected at customs would total US$1.212 million. (macauhub)
