Angola’s airline to open flight between Luanda, Sao Tome and Lisbon Monday

Sao Tome, Sao Tome and Principe, 12 Feb – Angolan national air carrier, TAAG, will begin operating a route linking Luanda, Sao Tome and Lisbon Monday under the terms of an agreement signed with Sao Tome and Principe airline, STP Airways.

The flight will run twice a week (Monday and Friday), with departures from Luanda at 7 pm and arrival on the Sao Tome archipelago at 8.45 pm, and flying onward to Lisbon at 4.45 pm the next day.

A Boeing 737-700 aircraft will be used on the route, with capacity to carry 120 passengers, 12 of which in executive class and 108 in economy.

The route scheduled to be operated by TAAG, was for a few years flown by Portuguese airline, Air Luxor, which has since stopped flying altogether.

The two weekly flights may be increased depending on demand for the flight. (macauhub)
