Beijing, China, 15 Feb– Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in January totaled US$5.2 billion, an annual growth rate of 13.9 percent, the Chinese Trade Ministry said in Beijing Wednesday.
According to the Ministry, 3,370 foreign investment projects were approved, or 10.7 percent more than in January of 2006.
The main investors were from Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the United States and Taiwan.
Investments from European Union countries fell 68.85 percent in the period although the Ministry offered no reason for the fall. (macauhub)
