Chinese automotive companies present their products in Sao Paulo

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 28 Feb – Chinese automotive companies are to present their products at Expo China Automobile & Motorcycle, from May 24 to 27 at the Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil, officials said.

The fair, which is organized by the China Brazil Investment Development & Trade Center and by Chongqing Huaxia Exhibition, will present Brazilian professionals and the public with cars and motorcycles as well as spare parts for them produced in China.

Chinese groups, China Lifan, China Qingqi, Haobao Motor, Chongqing Jialing and Feiying currently sell some of their motorcycle production in Brazil and there are plans to set up factories in the South American country.

Statistics from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, showed that in 2006 imports of Chinese motorcycles and spare parts for Chinese cars rose 90.85 percent and 43.47 percent, to US$38.39 million and US$19.6 million, respectively. (macauhub)
