Soyo, Angola, 26 March – Nine Angolan companies that can provide services to the oil sector have been registered in Zaire province by technicians from the Project for Development of National Participation .
Afonso Chipepe, a senior staff member of the PDPN, told Angolan news agency Angop that registering the companies is for the creation of a database for Sonangol, which will be a basis for selecting companies.
He also said that the registration aimed to include Angolan companies in public tenders for the oil sector in the areas of training/consultancy, food/drink and supply of office equipment.
In this phase, according to Chipepe, the Centro de Apoio Empresarial(CAE), a consulting company contracted by Sonangol to support companies in this process, offers companies new opportunities through training in Health, Safety/Environment, Offers and Contracts, Ethics, Financial Management, and Supply Chain Management.
CAE will also promote courses on Marketing and Communication, Human Resources, Business Plans and Quality Systems.
The project for developing national participation is sponsored by Sonangol, Chevron, Esso and Total Angola. (macauhub)
