29 March 2007

Luanda, Angola, 29 March – Benguela, Huambo and Zaire are the next Angolan provinces to have shopping centers similar to Belas Shopping, which opened Tuesday in Luanda, said Délcio Silva, chief executive of HO Gestão de Investimentos, Wednesday in Luanda.

In a press conference Silva noted that the company already had locations in Benguela and Huambo and was awaiting the concession of areas in the other provinces mentioned.

With 100 stores, eight cinemas and 900 parking spaces, Belas Shopping took three years to build and cost US$35 million.

Brazilian company Enashopp – whose main activity is managing shopping malls, such as Shopping Barra, in the state of Bahia in Brazil – is responsible for planning, sale and operation of Belas Shopping and after it opens, for its management. (macauhub)
