23 April 2007

Perth, Australia, April 23 – CityView of Australia says it has identified 59 possible mineral deposits, primarily gold and beryllium, at its Ucua concession in the Angolan province of Bengo.

In a statement Friday, CityView said the “Ucua Deformation Zone”, one of three identified, has “good potential” for gold mining. This 6.5 kilometer-wide zone, at the north of the concession, has a total area of 1,385 square meters.

The area also contains deposits of pegmatite, a rock from which rare minerals like beryllium are extracted, the statement added, and a total of 59 different minerals have been identified there.

In addition to its Ucua license, CityView also has exploration rights at Longonjo, southwest of the city of Huambo in central Angola, where the company believes there are copper and uranium deposits. (macauhub)
