Luanda, Angola, 4 May – The 3rd edition of Angolan food fair Alimenticia 2007 opened Thursday with 130 national and foreign companies taking part, according to the event’s organizers.
On Thursday the day was reserved exclusively for exhibitors and guests, which has given the event greater professionalism, as in previous editions the public was allowed access on the first day, which disappointed the representatives of exhibiting companies.
The fair was opened by the deputy trade minister, Manuel da Cruz Neto, and foreign companies at the event are mainly from Portugal, Brazil and Spain.
Portugal, with 30 companies, this year has it highest ever number of participants in the fair.
The fair is organized by Arena Direct, FILDA and the Angolan National Directorate for Internal Trade. (macauhub)
