Brazil helps Angola to restructure telecommunications sector

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 21 May – Representatives of the Angolan telecommunications regulator were in Brasilia Friday to discuss the restructuring of the Angolan Telecommunications Institute (Inacom) with representatives of the Brazilian regulator for the sector, Anatel.

the delegation , headed by deputy Postal and Telecommunications minister, Ana Maria Ribeiro Guimarães, visited Anatel with the aim of obtaining information to help the restructuring process of Inacom, the Brazilian regulator said in a statement.

The deputy minister also told Anatel representative, José Leite Pereira Filho, that regulating the telecoms sector was the order of the day in Angola.

Pereira Filho presented his regulator’s skills, its model for regulating the sector and the performance of the main telecommunications and Internet services in Brazil. (macauhub)
