US Chamber of Commerce in Macau wants to promote business opportunities

Macau, China, 25 May – With the aim of promoting business opportunities for US businesses and businesspeople in the Special Administrative Region (SAR) of Macau an American Chamber of Commerce in Macau (AmCham-Macau)has been set up.

Amcham Macau comprises 15 commissions distributed over areas such as Trade and Business in China, Gaming, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions), Human Resources, Environment and Health, Real Estate, Marketing and Telecommunications amongst others.

The businessman and director the “Ocean Garden Development” – one of Macau’s biggest real estate development – Paul Tse was elected to be the first president of Amcham Macau.

“Our main aim is to be an effective platform for Americans and US companies that are already in Macau or want to set up in Macau,” Tse said.

AmCham is open to all businesspeople and companies regardless of nationality.

British and Australian businesspeople have already set up similar structures in Macau to support business deals from their respective countries in the territory considering that the presence of both countries in the SAR has increased significantly in the last few years due to entertainment, hotel and gaming projects.
