Large Angolan real estate project launched in Luanda

Luanda, Angola, 28 May – The Comandante Gika development, a business and residential center, representing an investment of US$470 million, the chairman of the company that will manage and supervise the project’s execution said in Luanda Friday.

José Leitão said that the development, which covers an area of 307,000 square meters, is expected to be concluded within two years, with the first brick officially laid Friday.

The project, which is located on the site of the former Comandante Gika military school, on the outskirts of the Alvalade neighborhood, is a complex of office and residential tower blocks, a large and sophisticated shopping mall and a five star hotel.

The facilities include a three-floor shopping mall, called Luanda Shopping, with 208 stores, a hypermarket, six cinemas, restaurants and a car park.

There will also be two 21-storey tower blocks, housing offices and intended to be Luanda’s main business center, serves by a car park for 470 vehicles.

Two further towers will be for residential purposes, with 25 storeys and 136 apartments each, as well as five star hotel called Hotel Vip Grand Luanda, with a heliport and 300 double rooms and 70 suites. (macauhub)
