Business delegation from Brazil’s Pernambuco state seek Chinese partners

Recife, Brazil, 29 May – The Pernambuco Federation of Commerce (Fecomercio-PE) is to stage a Beijing business seminar in June on investment opportunities in northeastern Brazil during its visit to China beginning this month, officials have said.

The Beijing seminar will be inaugurated by Pernambuco’s governor, Eduardo Campos, and will seek to find Chinese partners for investments in Brazil.

The Brazilian delegation will also visit the Center for Economic Cooperation, at the Chinese Council for Promotion of International Commerce, and the Center for Technology and Information in Beijing.

The 100-strong business delegation from Pernambuco will also visit Shanghai, where a “Pernambuco Office” is to be opened under an initiative between the Brazilian region and the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Pernambuco delegation ends its tour at Ningbo with a visit to the port and the China Consumer Fair (CICGF), bringing together exhibitors from 110 countries.

Fecomercio-PE has promoted trade missions since 1996 and has recently visited Russia, Poland, Portugal, Germany and Italy. (macauhub)
