Luanda, Angola, 7 June – The capital of Angola, Luanda, and of Mozambique, Maputo, may in the near future be linked by the air carriers of both countries, the commercial director of Linhas Aéreas de Angola (Taag) said Wednesday in Luanda.
José Venâncio, who was receiving a delegation from Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) headed up by its chairman José Viegas, said that the two delegations would meet Thursday to, amongst other issues, talk about the possibility of linking the two capitals.
According to Angolan news agency Angop, Venâncio, who did not give a precise date for the start of operations, said that they could be launched between the end of this year and the first quarter of next year.
According to the commercial director, carrying out this plan is dependent on the goodwill of the two parties and the availability of material and human resources. (macauhub)
