Macau and Mozambique sign agreement to prevent double taxation and tax evasion

Macau, China, 15 June – The Mozambican minister of Finance, Manuel Chang, is due to arrive in Macau Friday where he will sign an agreement with the local government to prevent double taxation and tax evasion.

Chang was due to have arrived in Macau Thursday but his flights were delayed and he will sign the agreement Friday along with the head of the Macau government, Edmund Ho.

The minister, who is accompanied by the Mozambican ambassador to Beijing, António Inácio Júnior, will have meetings with the Financial Services, Institute of Tourism Training and the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic Cooperation and Development between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries (Forum Macau).

The minister’s agenda for his visit, which is due to end Sunday, also includes a meeting with the local Mozambican community. (macauhub)
