21 June 2007

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 21 June – The Brazil-China Chamber of Economic Development (CBCDE) will guarantee a place at the Macau International Fair to Brazilian companies that take part in the Guangzhou Fair as exhibitors, the chamber said in Sao Paulo Wednesday.

The CBCDE will provide Brazilian companies with an area of 100 square meters t the complex that will host the 102nd Guangzhou Fair, which will take place from October 15 to 20 and 25 to 30.

At the 2nd Macau International Fair, from October 18 to 21, the space made available for free by the CBCDE will be smaller, but will allow businesspeople to present institutional materials and small samples.

The CBCDE’s strategy started to be made known this week and, according to the chamber, Brazilian companies have already contacted it showing an interest in taking part in both fairs.

The CBCDE took some 30 businesspeople from Brazil to the last edition of the Guangzhou Fair in April.

Just as in April, the next edition of the Guangzhou fair will have, along with the traditional area for Chinese companies, an area for foreign companies to exhibit their products.

The CBCDE estimates that, at the Guangzhou Fair, the most attractive sectors for Brazilians are machinery and tools, electro-electronic equipment, textiles and clothes, food, furniture, gifts and office materials. (macauhub)
