Angola to export 1.7 million bpd of crude in September

18 July 2007

London, United Kingdom, 18 July – Angola will hit a record daily oil production of 1.7 million barrels in September, 50,000 bpd more than in August, according to UK traders.

Angola exports most of its crude output, with only 62,000 bpd kept for national consumption, and the country is expected to produce 1.76 million bpd in September.

Angolan Oil Minister Desiderio Costa said last week, at the Luanda International fair, that the country would reach a daily production of 2 million barrels in 2008, spurred by current and future investment in the sector.

Angola currently pumps 1.4 million barrels of oil daily. (macauhub)
