London, United Kingdom, 19 July – BP’s Plutonio offshore oil field in Angola will begin exporting crude from September, industry analysts have said.
BP’s deepwater oil ventures in Angola, predicted to produce an average of 200,000 barrels daily, are Plutonio, Galio, Paladio, Cromio and Cobalto.
The Plutonio field, with similar seismic characteristics to Girassol and Kissanje, will boost Angola’s daily oil output to 2 million barrels in 2008.
Angola is Sub-Saharan Africa’s second-largest oil producer and will raise its daily output to 1.7 million barrels from September. (macauhub)
