Italy gives 804,000 euros to Mozambican university

Maputo, Mozambique, 19 July – The Italian government has donated 804,000 euros to Mozambique’s Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) through the Consortium Program for University Cooperation with Emerging Countries (CICUPE).

The cooperation program also aims to improve operational capacities for research at UEM, as well as raise the level of training for local human resources.

The accord will initially be applied to UEL’s faculties of Medicine, Agronomy and Biotechnology to strengthen their research capabilities.

The program is a continuation of Italian cooperation to the universities faculties of Engineering, Forestry and Architecture that concluded in June 2006. (macauhub)
