Macau, China, 20 July, Macau’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) climbed 1.02 percent in June compared to May and was up 5.3 percent in a year-on-year comparison, according to official figures.
Macau’s Statistics and Census Directorate (DSEC) said the CPI rose 4.73 percent in the first half of this year in an annual comparison. Average inflation in the 12 months prior to June stood at 4.63 percent.
The most significant June price increases were in footwear (2.89 percent), food and non-alcoholic drinks (2.35 percent), leisure and culture (0.66 percent) and transport (0.62 percent). (macauhub)
