Portugal provides 65 million euros aid for Angola from 2007-2010

Lisbon, Portugal, 27 July – Portugal is to provide 65 million euros to Angola over the next here years in a cooperation package centered on education, health and agriculture, officials said.

The Indicative Cooperation Plan (PIC) for 2007 to 2010 was signed Wednesday in Lisbon and is worth 20 million euros more than the previous aid package between Portugal and its former colony.

Angola’s deputy foreign minister, Irene Neto, said the PIC would be applied to sectors with “deficiencies”, such as health, education and agriculture. (macauhub)
