Luanda, Angola, 30 July – Angola’s travel agencies had a combined turnover of more than 2.84 billion kwanzas (around US$ 37 million) last year, according to an industry report.
The report, published Friday and cited by state news agency Angop, said sales of tickets accounted for 2.085 billion last year for Angola’s tourism operators. Hotel reservations were worth a total 148 million kwanzas.
Assistance to tourists generated another 75 million kwanzas, the report said, while excursions and other trips created revenues of 19 million kwanzas.
Car hire made through Angolan travel agencies was worth 35 million kwanzas last year, with another 358 million kwanzas coming from other services offered by the national agencies. (macauhub)
