Macau prices rise 0.68 percent in July

Macau, China, 22 Aug – The Macau Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.68 percent in July against June, the Macau Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) said Tuesday in Macau.

According to DSEC, the rise was mainly due to price rises in the housing and fuel, food and non–alcoholic drinks, and recreation and culture segments.

In July 2006 prices rose 5.96 percent and the average rate fo inflation measured by the variation of the average index for the previous 12 months, and in relation to the previous 12 months, posted a rise of 4.71 percent. (macauhub)
