Cape Verde’s air carrier to increase flights to Europe, US and Brazil

Praia, Cape Verde, 27 Aug – Cape Verde’s national airline, TACV, plans to increase the number of flights it offers to Europe, the United States and Brazil as of November, the Expresso das Ilhas newspaper reported.

According to a company source contacted by the paper, the frequency of some flights would be increased, while other routes would be launched.

The source added that the decision was part of TACV’s new strategy of expanding its market for European passengers to Brazil with stopovers on Sal Island, maintaining existing routes and launching others to Rome and London.

The company will maintain its current twice-weekly routes to Paris and Amsterdam and another to Munich, the Lisbon-Praia and Sal-Lisbon routes will become daily and passengers to Boston will benefit from two flights per week, from Praia.

TACV will also carry out daily flights from Sal to Fortaleza, in Brazil, maintaining a weekly route to, Praia. (macauhub)
