Donors confirm financing of US$435 million in budgetary aid for Mozambique

Maputo, Mozambique, 24 Sept – The 19 donor countries and international agencies that support Mozambique Friday confirmed they would provide the country’s 2008 budget with the equivalent of US$435 million.

In addition, the total aid provided by the “group of 19″ for specific projects has risen to US$320.9 million in 2008 from US$241 million this year.

The biggest donor is Great Britain (US$79.7 million), followed by the World Bank (US$70 million), the European Commission (US$66 million) and Sweden (US$50 million). (macauhub)
